Local natives, Cougars seniors earn accolades

Bryce Lienhoop, who helped lead St. Francis to an NAIA Division II national runner-up finish, has been named an to the NAIA D-II All-American team for the third time.

Lienhoop, a senior from Columbus East, is the first player in St. Francis history to be named All-American three times. He also earned All-Crossroads League honors and was named to the NAIA D-II All-Tournament team.

Lienhoop finished as the Cougars’ all-time leading rebounder with 1,080 and third all-time leading scorer with 1,929 points. He set the school single-season rebounding record as a sophomore and finished with the most career offensive rebounds.

Evan Henry, a senior from Columbus North, has been named an NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete for the second time. Henry also was an honorable mention All-Crossroads League Tournament team selection.

Henry finished as St. Francis’ career leader in 3-pointers (332), 3-point attempts (761) and free-throw percentage (.877). Henry (144) and Lienhoop (143) finished with the most career games played in school history.
