Students compete in robotics competition

A robotics team featuring students from Columbus East, Columbus North and CSA New Tech high schools will compete this weekend in Plainfield.

The Columbus team, GalacTech, will compete at Plainfield High School, 1 Red Pride Drive, Saturday and Sunday against 34 other teams from Indiana and Michigan to play FIRST Power-Up. In the game, three robots work to outscore their opponents by placing 13-inch cubes on two- and six-foot-tall scales and are awarded points for the amount of time they own the scales.

There is no charge for admission for the event, which is open to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets can be obtained by visiting tickets.indianafirst.org.
