9:30 a.m. update
More than 30 accidents were called in to the Bartholomew County Emergency Operations Center during today’s morning drive time.
The biggest number of them, 15, were slideoffs. Another 11 were auto accidents that involved property damage. Four accidents involved personal injury.
8 a.m. update
A spring snowstorm has closed area schools and has police responding to multiple accidents.
Flat Rock-Hawcreek, Jennings County and Brown County school are closed today because of slick roads.

Bartholomew Consolidated Schools are still on spring break with students slated to return to class on Thursday.

Bartholomew County Emergency Management reports that the county’s travel status is at an advisory level, which means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
Sgt. Stephen Wheeles of the Indiana State Police said troopers have been responding to slideoffs and accidents on Interstate 65 near the 76-78 mile markers in northern Bartholomew County.
