Clayton Davidson

PORT SAINT LUCIE, FLA.

Clayton Davidson, 79, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at Tradition Medical Center on March 19, 2018. Mr. Davidson was born April 23, 1938 in Brutus, Kentucky, to Jarmon and Susie Davidson.

He retired from Cummins Engine Co. and previously worked as a police officer for Brownstown city police. He married Janet Wheeler on Sept. 22, 1983, and she survives.

Other survivors include his children, Etta Hounshel, Pauline Barger, Janet (Mary) Davidson, Lana (Mike) Irwin, Traesia (Tom) Carr and Kelvin (Tanya) Bowling; 12 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; brothers, Clyde (Helen) Davidson and Virgil (Bessie) Davidson; sisters, Carol (Jim) Herald, Betty Brock and Opal (Chester) Peacock.

Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Gary Davidson; brothers, Cecil and Willie Davidson; sister, LeAnna Shirley; and one-great-granddaughter, Katelyn Gale. Memorials made be made to Rocky Ford Free Methodist Church Columbus, Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
