Police arrest local man on trespassing and drug-related charges

Columbus police arrested a local man on drug-related charges after he was accused of trespassing inside a store.

Officers were sent to a store in the 700 block of Whitfield drive at 3:45 a.m. Thursday about trespassing.

Officers found Travis L. Salsman, 40, Columbus, who had been previously ordered not to trespass inside the store, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Salsman was arrested and while searching him, officers found methamphetamine and hash oil in his clothing, Harris said. He was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of trespassing, possession of methamphetamine and possession of hash oil.
