Dallas August Kreinhagen, 82, of Columbus, passed from this life at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at his home surrounded by family who loved him very much.

Mr. Kreinhagen was a retired farmer and school bus driver of 50 years for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.

He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at White Creek.

Mr. Kreinhagen was born April 2, 1935 in Columbus.

He was the son of August and Laura Schneider Kreinhagen.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church at White Creek with Pastor Justin Whitmore officiating.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and 10 a.m. to time of service Monday at the church. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.

Dallas married Hazel Tormoehlen on October 2, 1955.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years; a son, Timothy (Carmen) Kreinhagen of Columbus, daughter, Janet (Kevin) Morey of Columbus; grandchildren, Megan (Jeremy Hieston) Deweese, Cara (Travis) Eckelman, Zachary (Kaleigh) Morey and Sydney Morey; great-grandchildren, Kylin Eckelman, Morgan Eckelman, Arliss Hieston and a great-granddaughter soon to arrive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Mark Allen Kreinhagen; and his sisters, Edna Luenebrink and Mildred Mensendiek.
