BEND, Ore. — A former Oregon charter school director who was convicted of sexually abusing a student has pleaded not guilty to abusing another student.

The Bulletin reports 44-year-old Michael Richard Bremont is charged with 10 counts of second-degree sex abuse. He entered his not guilty plea in a Deschutes County courtroom Thursday.

The victim claims Bremont had raped and sodomized her in 2005 and 2006 when she was 17 years old. Bremont was working at Central Linn High School at the time.

Bremont was convicted of sex abuse in 2012 while working at the Redmond Proficiency Academy. The case involved a 15-year-old student from 2009 to 2010.

Bremont was released from prison in 2014 but was later sent back for a parole violation and other convictions.
