GULFPORT, Miss. — A Mississippi teen has been arrested for using a stolen gun to steal money from a Gulfport man.

Nineteen-year-old Dequarius Oneil McCord is accused of knocking on a man’s door, pointing a gun at him and demanding cash. McCord fled after getting a small amount of cash.

Gulfport Sgt. Clayton Fulks tells The Sun Herald of Biloxi that police later found McCord with a gun that was reported stolen last August.

The former Gulfport High School basketball player was jailed on bail and charged with armed robbery, possessing a stolen firearm and possessing marijuana.
