CAMDEN, N.J. — A man accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend and critically injuring her adult son has been captured.

Camden County prosecutors say a U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested 29-year-old Raul Quinones at his Camden home late Sunday night, several hours after the attack occurred. Quinones is charged with murder and attempted murder, and it wasn’t known Monday if he’s retained an attorney.

Authorities say Quinones entered Elaine Jimenez’s home in Camden around 3 p.m. Sunday to retrieve some of his belongings. They say he stabbed her before she fled the home, then allegedly stabbed her 20-year-old son several times before going outside to continue the attack on Jimenez.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, where Jimenez was pronounced dead a short time later. Her son remains hospitalized in critical condition.
