Dustin Hill and his dog, Freckles, took advantage of shirt-sleeve weather during BSCS spring break in 1993.


At about 6:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Swift-Water Rescue Team was called to County Road 850W at County Road 400W to pluck a stranded bus driver, two Columbus North High School students and a teacher’s aide from a Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. bus when quickly rising water threatened to stall the vehicle.


Columbus native Quinn Lemley appeared on “Geraldo,” modeling a gown worn by Rita Hayworth in the film “Gilda” and singing “Put the Blame on Mame” from the movie.


Plans for a 70-unit apartment project called Cambridge Square, to be built at the east end of McKinley Avenue, were disclosed by sponsor, Retirement Foundation of Bartholomew County.
