The following closings have been announced for Good Friday.
- All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle branches will be closed Friday. Branches resume regularly scheduled business hours on Saturday. For more information, visit myBMV.com.
- Columbus City Utilities will be closed Friday. Regular business hours resume at 8 a.m. Monday. If you have a problem with water or sewer service, call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- The Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center and the Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District Office, 720 S. Mapleton St., will be closed Friday. The landfill at 811 E. County Road 450S will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Columbus City Hall is closed Friday.
- Bartholomew County Courthouse and county offices are closed Friday.
- Columbus Department of Public Works will pick up trash and other collections on a normal schedule. All toters and brush should be out by 7 a.m. for collection. However, the department offices will be closed Friday and reopen at 7 a.m. Monday. For more information, visit columbus.in.gov and click on Department of Public Works or call 812-376-2509.
