State Road 46 project slated to start Monday

Indiana Department of Transportation will begin its $1.8 million resurfacing project for State Road 46 with overnight lane closures starting Monday.

Milestone, INDOT’s contractor, will begin concrete patching operations at 9 p.m. Monday. Two westbound State Road 46 lanes and the northbound Interstate 65 on ramp from westbound State Road 46 will close during the overnight hours, and reopen at 6 a.m., INDOT officials said.

Milestone will repair State Road 46 with full-depth patches while altering the existing median curb and a 1-mile segment of the roadway, between County Road 350W and the railroad tracks at State Road 11, will be resurfaced.
