EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — More than 50 companies and other organizations are expected to participate in Connecticut’s annual the Heroes 4 Hire Career Fair for veterans.

The event, sponsored by the state Department of Labor, takes place Wednesday inside the Pratt & Whitney football stadium and Rentschler Field in East Hartford.

The department says the event typically attracts more than 600 veterans each year.

They will be able to meet with representatives from companies like Travelers, Eversource, Liberty Mutual, Mohegan and the University of Connecticut.
