Eagles drop opener
SCOTTSBURG — Brown County scored four times in the top of the seventh to take the lead, but Scottsburg scored three in the bottom of the seventh to pull out a 6-5 season-opening win.
The Eagles trailed 3-1 going to the seventh, but tied the game, and then Isaiah Luenebrink delivered a two-out two-run single for a 5-3 lead. But the Warriors, who took advantage of 10 walks in the game, won it in the bottom of the inning.
Brown County starter Eli Snider gave up only one hit and struck out 10 in 5 2/3 innings.
The Eagles were scheduled to host a doubleheader with North Decatur today, but those games have been moved to North Decatur.
