Tony Lee Merry III

HAYDEN

Tony Lee Merry III, 18, of Hayden, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his residence.

Born January 5, 2000, in Columbus, he was the son of Tony and Penny Ramsey Merry Jr.

Tony was a senior at Jennings County High School and had already signed up in the National Guard and had planned on going into the United States Marine Corps after graduation. Tony worked for the Lanthier Winery in Madison where he did landscaping and grounds keeping. Tony was a member of the Jennings County High School Football and Wrestling teams. He enjoyed body building and weightlifting, he was interested in financial investing and he enjoyed spending his free time with the love of his life, Morgan.

He is survived by his parents, Tony and Penny Merry Jr. of Hayden; brothers, Justin and Ethan Merry, both of Hayden; sisters, Autumn and Hope Merry of Hayden; grandparents, Carol Ramsey, John Ramsey and Allen Arbuckle, all of North Vernon; great-grandparent, Charlotte Carner of Kansas; aunts and uncles, Melissa Luedeman and family, Heather Pehm and family, Tiffany Noble and family and Trenton Ramsey and family.

He was preceded in death by his significant other, Morgan Gibson, and grandparents, Tony Merry Sr., Beth Arbuckle and Howard Carner.

A funeral service for Tony will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery in Westport.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
