GREENWOOD
Michael A. Poe, 52, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 4, 1965 in Columbus, to Norman J. and Kay A. (Ludington) Poe.
He married Kristin A. (Hunsader) Poe on July 15, 1989 in Green Bay, Wisconsin; she survives.
He was a 1983 graduate of Columbus North High School and a 1989 graduate of Purdue University.
He had been a human resource manager for several years.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was an exceptional basketball and tennis player.
His pride was his son Sam, with whom he enjoyed fishing, watching play football, golfing and other sports.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many.
Survivors include his wife, Kristin A. (Hunsader) Poe of Greenwood; his son, Samuel A. Poe of Greenwood; his parents, Norman J. and Kay A. (Ludington) Poe of Columbus; his brother, Greg L. Poe (Lynne) of Greenwood; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David N. and Patricia M. Hunsader of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.
The Rev. David Blystone will conduct a service Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 S. U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary and from noon Saturday until the service time.
