COLUMBUS, Ind. — “Young Voices: Creatively Expressing What We Have No Words For,” scheduled at 4 p.m. today for students in grades 7-12, has been rescheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 7 at The Commons, 300 Washington St. in downtown Columbus.
Organizer the Rev. Joy Lawler said students interested in participating in the free-form event highlighting music, art, creative writing and more can register until April 28 at https://goo.gl/forms/IBHVTTegZ5Gokiwj1
The focus of students’ expression is to be the topic of school safety.
“We want them to be free to say whatever they want,” Lawler said.
A similar event, “In the Voice of a Child: From Grief to Hope for fifth- and sixth-graders,” is scheduled at 6 p.m. May 2 at North Christian Church, 850 Tipton Lane in Columbus.
