MILWAUKEE — Divers have rescued a 49-year-old man who fell into the Milwaukee River.

Milwaukee police say the man was walking along the River Walk early Sunday when he lost his balance and fell into the river.

Officers quickly found the man and threw him a floating life tube.

Rescue divers from the Milwaukee Fire Department entered the water and used a ladder to pull the man to safety. Police say he was taken to a hospital, where he’s in good condition.
