Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. has named a new principal at Smith Elementary School.
Casey Voelz, 33, was named to the position during Monday evening’s BCSC school board meeting. She will replace Jay Payne, who will be taking over as principal at Central Middle School due to the retirement of Randy Gratz.
Voelz currently serves as assistant principal at Parkside Elementary School and has been with the district since 2014. She was assistant principal at Taylorsville and Parkside elementary schools upon her arrival to BCSC and has been at Parkside the past year.
