Charles Alex Stater Jr., 58, of Columbus, passed from this life at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg.
Charles was born April 7, 1960, in Columbus, the son of Charles Alex and Betty Ann Noles Stater Sr.
Charles had been a farm laborer for various area farmers.
Charles enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and farming and he had a special passion for visiting family and friends. Charles was interested in cars and had a fascination with any and all types of auto repairs.
Charles is survived by his mother, Betty Stater of Edinburgh; a brother, Robert (Stacy) Stater of Columbus, a sister, Janice (David) Willin of Hope; nephews, Troy and Travis Willin of Hope and Joshua (Kaitlin) Colon of Sorrento, Florida; and great-nieces and nephew, Caitlin and Nicole Willin of Hope and Emma and Max Colon of Sorrento, Florida.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Stater Sr.; and a sister, Denise Stater.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
