Marilyn ‘Beth’ Dutcher

Marilyn “Beth” Dutcher, 77, of Elizabethtown, passed away at 3 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Beth was born February 14, 1941, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of William and Viola Allen Fodrea.

She married Willard “Bill” Dutcher June 15, 1962 in Tampa, Florida.

Beth was a preschool teacher for 21 years at First Presbyterian Church in Columbus.

She was a member of East Columbus Christian Church and a former member of Sandcreek-Azalia Friends Meeting. Survivors include her husband of over 55 years, Willard “Bill” Dutcher; stepson, Jeff Boe of Minnesota; daughter, Sherie (Al) Reed of Columbus, sons, Ron (Keri) Dutcher of Elizabethtown, John (Lori) Dutcher of Seymour; grandchildren, Mallory and Coleman Reed, Carley Fox, Nathan and Noah Dutcher, Lora and A.J. McQueen, Kayla and Brittany Dutcher, Samantha Hineman, Sidney Carr; great-grandson, Ryker Burton, great-granddaughter, Madalyn Wampner; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews, along with great-great nieces and -nephews.

Mrs. Dutcher was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joyce Baughman and brother, Randall Fodrea.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Ron Bridgewater officiating. Family and friends may call Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
