CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Authorities say a woman was stabbed to death at a park in Cheyenne.

Police spokesman Kevin Malatesta tells The Wyoming Tribune Eagle the woman, whose name has not been released, was stabbed with a knife in Martin Luther King Jr. Park on the city’s west side Monday afternoon. The department has asked residents to stay away from the area while officers investigate.

Police have not said what led to the stabbing.
