Local runners finish Boston Marathon

All five entrants from Columbus in Monday’s Boston Marathon were able to finish the iconic 26.2-mile race from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, to downtown Boston.

Columbus East graduate and Purdue freshman Paul Bean was the top local finisher, running 3 hours, 5 minutes, 25 seconds, to place 2,601st overall and 2,443rd among men.

Zane Yeager took 4,392nd overall and 3,874th among men in 3:15:44. Joe Calandro was 5,407th overall and 4,553rd among men in 3:20.18.

Kevin Meyer finished 10,048th overall and 7,163rd among men in 3:37.46. Lisa Stadler took 18,580th overall and 7,708th among women in 4:16:03.
