COLUMBUS
James D. Foss, 75, of Columbus, died at 7:15 p.m. April 16, 2018, at his home.
James was born April 12, 1943, in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Dalton A. and Edith Christner Foss.
He married Janice Sefton on August 5, 1967.
He graduated from both Michigan State University and Kent State University.
James taught at Hillsdale College before beginning a long career at Cosco where he was vice president. He later owned several small businesses and was employed in Indianapolis.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Collins officiating. Calling will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Foss and son, Bryan D. Foss.
