Missing man who was traveling to Columbus found in Florida

8:30 A.M. UPDATE: Late Tuesday night, Tommy Dale Allman was located safe in the state of Florida, Indiana State Police said.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Indiana State Police are asking for information about the whereabouts of Tommy Dale Allman, 78, who has been officially designated as missing.

Allman was traveling to visit family, last heard from at 7:33 a.m. this morning enroute from Scottsburg to Columbus, state police said. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds.

Police said he was last seen driving a silver 2007 Buick Lucerne with a Florida license plate of MAK724.

If anyone sees Allman or the vehicle he is driving, please call 911, your local police or the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg at 812-246-5424.

Allman does not qualify for a Silver Alert because of the medical exception. He is considered to beĀ in danger by police because of no contact with family, state police said.
