Hauser prom Saturday in Columbus

HOPE — Hauser High School students are getting ready for “A Touch of Class” Saturday as they prepare for the school’s prom.

A total of 128 students are expected to attend the event from 8 to 11 p.m. at Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus, said Rebekah Bryan, prom coordinator and English teacher at the school.

Prom is open to anyone who is a freshman through age 20 that is accompanied by a junior or senior.

The prom king and queen will be selected by seniors through a ballot that students will fill out once they arrive, Bryan said. Seniors chosen for this year’s prom court will also be introduced during the event.

Following the prom, students will have the opportunity to attend an After Prom event at Hauser High School from midnight to 2:30 a.m. that will feature bounce houses, food and prizes, Bryan said.
