Time for Three to rock the plaza

The Columbus Area Arts Council’s presentation of the free Live On the Plaza concert, one of its signature events, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza, 536 Fifth St. in Columbus.

The gathering, which normally has drawn between 1,000 and 2,000 people, will feature the globe-trotting Time For Three, known for mixing classical works with pop-rock, jazz, hip-hop and other genres. Members already have decided the performance will include the debut of some songs from an album just completed in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kathryn Armstrong, the arts council’s executive director, calls the event “an opportunity to celebrate the arts in Columbus in a unique setting.”

Rain location is The Commons, 300 Washington St.
