A man using a tractor and front-loader on a steep incline in southern Bartholomew County died Monday morning after the tractor flipped.
Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting said David Eckert, 38, 8801 S. County Road 300E, died in the accident, which occurred at his home near the intersection of County Road 300E and 500S at about 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Eckert was using the loader which was filled with gravel to fill a hole when the load shifted and the tractor rolled, Nolting said.
Eckert was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said.
