Nashville gallery featuring Columbus artist

A Columbus artist will be featured during the Art Walk in Nashville from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday as 12 gallery owners open their doors for special, free showings of local and regional art and fine crafts.

Members of the public can enjoy demonstrations, live music, wine tasting, and light refreshments at Nashville galleries. They will have the opportunity to meet the artists and watch them work.

Columbus artist Marilyn Brackney will appear at B3 Gallery, 61 W. Main St., Nashville. Brackney will demonstrate paper marbling. Named an Indiana Artisan for her marbled fabric and paper collages, she is the only Hoosier artist to earn the designation for such expertise. Having marbled for nearly 30 years, Brackney has accumulated hundreds of colorful, patterned papers to use in her collages.

Her work will be on display in the gallery through July 23.
