Brian’s picks

1) Broadway gives its regards to Columbus in a grand way at a 7 p.m. Saturday fundraiser at Judson Erne Auditorium, 1400 25th St. Five Broadway veterans from shows as well known as “Aladdin,” “The Phantom of the Opera” and “The Lion King” will perform some of their best-known material and a few pop-rock numbers as a part of “Broadway Memories.” The evening will benefit Music & Memories, a new program that Our Hospice of South Central Indiana will launch soon. Tickets: $25 for general admission, $50 for preferred seating, $125 for premier seating that includes a private post-show reception with the performers. Available at ourhospice.seatyourself.biz.

2) The earlier music of the “Fab Four” via the Indianapolis-based band The Tempos seems like a very fab way to celebrate Global Beatles Day on Tuesday. The free concert, which includes well-known central Indiana musician Dean Metcalf (of The Electric Amish and other groups), will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza, 536 Fifth St. in downtown Columbus.
