Burkholder Funeral Chapel in Seymour, housed in a 19th-century home owned by Rick and Linda Ferguson, was featured in a segment of the nationally syndicated series, “If Walls Could Talk,” on the HGTV network.

The Bartholomew County 4-H Fair signaled the start of the 1994 political season with BCSC board member Ray Zeigler announcing his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for 2nd District county commissioner and Sheriff David Mann announcing he would seek re-election.

In the first of several U.S. Post Office department cutbacks to affect Columbus, officials announced that Saturday window service would be eliminated except for dispersal of general delivery mail.
