Hospice concert painting up for online bids

You can help Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in its selfless role of taking care of business: providing compassionate, end-of-life care for patients and families in 16 counties in south central Indiana.

And you can assist by bidding online on local artist Donna Rosenberg’s fundraising painting to support the annual Hospice Labor Day weekend concert Sept. 1 with Randy Bachman, formerly of Bachman Turner Overdrive. The band is known for the mega-hit, “Taking Care of Business” from 1973.

Rosenberg has chosen to highlight another of the band’s hits in her work featuring a convertible sporting a BTO-adorned grille and a front plate reading “Let It Ride,” another 1973 hit for the group. The four-foot by three-foot original creation is on display at the Columbus Area Visitors Center until Friday.

Then it will move to Mill Race Center, and later Hotel Indigo. Bidding will continue through 4:15 p.m. Sept. 6.

Bidding has opened at $550.
