Legal Aid to offer Aug. 27 clinic

Legal Aid will have a free legal aid clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Legal Aid Office in the United Way Center, 1531 13th St., Suite G330.

The clinic is for low-income residents who are offered free legal consultations utilizing local volunteer attorneys.

Individuals who attend can expect to receive a 10-minute consultation to answer general questions, offer legal information, or receive other advice on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no need to register in advance.

Legal Aid is a nonprofit agency providing free civil legal services, lawyer referrals and domestic violence-related legal representation to low-income individuals in eight counties, including Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Rush and Shelby counties.
