Police arrest local woman on warrants, drug-related charges

Columbus police arrested a local woman on warrants and drug-related charges after she was seen outside her home in the 3800 block of Rosewood Lane.

Police saw Aimee L. Davis, 28, of 3877 Rosewood Lane, outside her home at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Officers confirmed two Bartholomew County warrants seeking Davis’ arrest and also found syringes, drug paraphernalia and heroin inside her purse, Harris said.

Officers also alter recovered a small amount of methamphetamine that Davis had concealed in her clothing, Harris said.

In addition to the warrants, Davis was arrested on preliminary charges of felony possession of heroin, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a legend drug injection device and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, jail officials said.
