Autopsy conducted in death of Hauser student

1:30 p.m. update: The Bartholomew County Coroner’s office has concluded that 18-year-old Trevor J. Frazee died Thursday from an acute heart-related issue. An autopsy was conducted after an ambulance was called to Frazee’s home in Hope at 11:55 a.m. Thursday about a person having difficulty breathing, according to the coroner’s office. The teen, age 18, was a senior at Hauser High School’s alternative program.

After the ambulance arrived, the patient coded and advanced life support protocols were initiated, according to the coroner’s office. The patient was transported to the Columbus Regional Hospital emergency department, where he was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy was ordered by Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting, and was performed Friday. The coroner’s office extends its condolences to the family of Trevor Frazee, according to a press release about Frazee’s death.

An autopsy is being conducted this morning at Columbus Regional Hospital in the case of an 18-year-old Hauser student who died Thursday.

Bartholomew County Coroner Clayton Nolting said in addition to the autopsy, a full toxicology report has been ordered in the case of Trevor Frazee, a Hauser senior, who was pronounced dead at about 1 p.m. Thursday by the coroner’s office.

Flat Rock-Hawcreek Superintendent Shawn Price said Thursday that Frazee, who attended Hauser’s alternative school program, suffered a cardiac arrest associated with a recent illness, according to the family. Frazee was not at school when the incident occurred.

Additional staff members and counselors are at Hauser today to assist Frazee’s classmates at the high school, Price said.
