The last remaining section of the $1.5 million roundabout at 11th, Brown and Eighth streets, opened for traffic.

1993

A new bridge 3 miles east of Nashville on State Road 46, under construction since July, was completed two weeks early, in time to avoid what Brown County law-enforcement officials called “weekend nightmares” created by traffic to and from the IU/Kentucky football game, Chautauqua of the Arts in Columbus and the usual throng of fall guests at Brown County State Park.

A standing-room only crowd attended the first meeting of a sex education series for mothers and daughters at North Christian Church, sponsored by Lutheran Child Welfare Auxiliary.
