Police searching for motorist who struck pedestrian near Hayden

Police are searching for a motorist who apparently struck a man early Sunday morning on U.S. 50 near Hayden.

Davon Lee Shine, 24, of North Vernon was taken to University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition after the incident, which was reported at 4:38 a.m. near County Road 700W in Jennings County, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, spokesman for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post.
