Aviation Awareness Day Saturday at North Vernon

NORTH VERNON — Aviation Awareness Day will offer many free activities Saturday at the North Vernon Municipal Airport.

The biggest attraction for Aviation Awareness Day will be an appearance by the Ford Tri-Motor planes. However, the day will also include a free aeronautics show, airplane rides, static displays of vintage aircraft and a display of military equipment from the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center.

Children’s activities will include bounce houses. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, airport director Ryan Curry said.

Hours for Aviation Awareness Day will be 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The airport is located at 645 E. County Road 450N, North Vernon.
