JENNINGS COUNTY — Indiana State Police are seeking help in identifying a body found in a lake near Forest Grove Lane in Country Squire Lakes subdivision near North Vernon.
Troopers were called to the lake at 7:30 p.m. Monday about a report of a deceased adult male, who has not been identified, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, Indiana State Police spokesman.
An autopsy was being performed Tuesday in Seymour to determine the identity of the man and cause of death, Wheeles said.
Anyone with information about the identity of the victim or any other information about the investigation is urged to call Detective Jason Duncan of the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post at 812-689-5000.
The Indiana State Police is being assisted by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources conservation officers and the Jennings County Coroner’s Office.
