NORTH VERNON — The body of a man found in a lake near Forest Grove Lane in Country Squire Lakes subdivision near North Vernon has been identified.
The investigation into the death of 30-year-old Chad Stearn of North Vernon remains ongoing, but no foul play is suspected, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, spokesman for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post.
Troopers were called to the lake at 7:30 p.m. Monday about a report of a deceased adult man. An autopsy was performed Tuesday in Seymour to determine the identity of the man and cause of death, Wheeles said. Toxicology results are pending.
