Hope man arrested after being revived

HOPE — A Hope man who had moved to the town recently from Indianapolis was arrested Wednesday after officers revived him with a dose of the opioid antidote naloxone.

Gerald L. Walker, 30, of 168 Schaefer Court S., was arrested at 10:41 p.m. Wednesday on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, legend drug-injection devices and possession of paraphernalia, according to arrest records provided by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department.

Hope Police Department also assisted at the scene.

Walker was being held at the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $63,500 bond, jail officials said.
