Police are asking motorists to avoid the eastbound lanes of Jonathan Moore Pike near Carrie Lane after an accident involving a pedestrian this morning.
The eastbound side of the roadway has only one lane open at this time and traffic is backed up west to beyond the I-65 interchange.
