Elkhart woman injured in Jennings County off-road vehicle accident

JENNINGS COUNTY — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle crash that resulted in the driver being ejected and suffering serious injuries.

Officers were sent to County Road 625N and County Road 750E in Butlerville on Sunday afternoon.

Emily Reverman, 20, Elkhart, was operating a Polaris Scrambler on a county road when a mechanical failure caused the off-road vehicle to lose control and veer off the roadway into a creek, officers said.

Reverman was ejected from the vehicle and suffered leg injuries, officers said. She was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital in Jennings County for medical treatment.

Evan Griffin, 22, Martinsville was a passenger on the vehicle and suffered minimal injuries, officers said.

No helmets were worn at the time of the crash.

Indiana Conservation Officers, Jennings County Sheriff’s Department and Jennings County EMS were on scene of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor in the crash.
