The Acre Brothers released their first full-length album, “Brothers and Sisters,” on Sept. 28, said band leader Nathan Dillon, who also teaches music in North Star Montessori School in Columbus and offers classes at ABC-Stewart Montessori through his music education company, Everybody Rocks.

Some of the “Brothers and Sisters” tracks are “Stumbling in Love,” a love song that boogies; “Hillbilly Knuckle Jam,” a good-time tune; “For Melanie,” an old-time acoustic slide guitar instrumental; and “Listen,” a protest song verging on total meltdown.

The album is getting a lot of airplay on WFHB and WFIU in Bloomington, said Dillon, a singer, songwriter and guitarist for the band. Other members are guitarist Chuck Wills, bass player Mardi Raun and drummer Kristin Olson.

The name of the record, “Brothers and Sisters,” comes from the fact that so many people came together to help the album get off the ground, Dillon said.
