Volleyball club to hold open gyms, tryouts
Hope Area Volleyball Club (HAVOC) will have two elite club teams this year.
HAVOC will host an open gym today at Hauser High School. Tryouts will be Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. for high school girls and from 3 to 5 p.m. for junior high girls.

Columbus North to hold wrestling callout meetings
New Columbus North coach Matt Joyce will have a callout meeting before school at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday in the athletic conference room.
Joyce also will be in the athletic conference room during both lunch periods Wednesday to talk with prospective wrestlers who did not attend the morning session.
Elementary students can register for basketball league
Signups are underway for the upcoming First Christian Basketball and Beyond co-ed basketball league and will continue through Friday for first- through sixth-grade boys and girls.

Chili-Dip fundraiser to benefit East golf teams
Columbus East’s boys and girls golf teams will host the Chili-Dip Golf Tournament at 11 a.m. Nov. 3 at Otter Creek.
Cost is $50 and includes greens fees, cart, chili and other goodies. Hole sponsorships also are available for $100. Proceeds will go toward golf instruction for the winter months and to help purchase uniforms, bats and with other expenses for the boys and girls teams.

Toy Drive Show to benefit kids in need at Christmas
Hoosier Pro Wrestling will hold its 20th Anniversary Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund Toy Drive Show at 7:45 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds Family Arts Building.
Fans are asked to bring a new or gently-used toy to help kids in need at Christmas.
East Columbus Volleyball Club to hold tryouts
Tryouts for the East Columbus Volleyball Club 15s-16s team will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 6 and 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at Ceraland.
