Letter: Lauer best District 59 candidate

Indiana is one of the best managed states in the U.S. We should be proud of this and also should try to keep it this way, or even try to make it a little better. The way to achieve it is to elect representatives with good intentions and proven record of efficient leadership.

Ryan Lauer has the right kind of governing experience, a conservative approach to financial management, the sensitivity to the needs of the community, combined with efficient problem solving experience. In my opinion Ryan meets the qualification for all the above.

As former president of the Bartholomew County Council, he showed us how to do more with less. Among other achievements, he cut millions from the budget through efficiencies and prioritization. At the same time he increased services to our veterans. Also, he fought for and won military pay for the law enforcement officers. He also lowered the county tax by 4 percent.

I know he feels the pain of the families affected by the opioid epidemic. He will attack it head-on, utilizing his experience and problem-solving skills. He will join the other leaders across Indiana to improve the situation.

Ryan is pro-life; he believes all life is precious and should be protected.

He will protect the Second amendment and our right to self-defense.

With his degrees in biochemistry, mathematics and chemical informatics he will be able to make decisions on his own. He will not be depending for information on drug and finances solely on special interest people and lobbyists.

I will vote for Ryan and suggest to my friends to do the same thing.
