8-year-old suspended from Taylorsville Elementary after threat

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. officials have suspended an 8-year-old student accused of showing a death list to another student on a bus after school on Wednesday.
Larry Perkinson, the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. employee and student assistance coordinator, said law enforcement was notified and the student was suspended pending a meeting with the student’s family.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department is referring all questions to the school corporation this morning.
Perkinson said Taylorsville Elementary School students were in class and safe this morning and families were sent the following message:
“Good morning Taylorsville families!  The safety of our students is our top priority.  Upon receiving a report yesterday involving a threat, we responded immediately.  It was reported that an 8-year old student showed a hit list to another student on the bus after school.  Law enforcement was notified.  The student was suspended until a meeting with family.  Students are safely learning at Taylorsville today.  Thank you for your continued support!”
