Property housing Faurecia South plant changes hands

Staff Reports

A 36-acre property at 830 W. 450S in Columbus, home to the 400,000-square-feet Faurecia South advanced manufacturing plant that opened in 2016, has been sold for $39 million.

Landmark Columbus LLC and JBD Columbus LLC have sold the former Walesboro Airport property to LSC Faur MC3 DST in a transaction recorded Nov. 9 in Bartholomew County.

Faurecia Clean Mobility leases the property, where it produces vehicle emission-control systems, said Misty Matthews, director of communications for Faurecia North America, based in Detroit.

The transaction will have no impact on the plant’s Columbus operations, Matthews said.

The property is immediately east of the Faurecia Clean Mobility Research and Development Center, also on 450 South.
