Amnesty Day saves residents $2,900 while recycling

COLUMBUS, Ind. — An annual recycling program for Bartholomew County residents allowed them to save $2,900 on hard-to-dispose-of items this year.

About 155 individuals or families turned out Saturday for Amnesty Day at the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center, said Heather Siesel, director of the Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District.
