Hope man wanted on warrants arrested iin Columbus

Columbus police arrested a Hope man wanted on two arrest warrants and found methamphetamine in his clothing.

Officers saw Derek B. Woodson, 40, Hope, at 5:20 p.m. Friday near Hege and Kentucky avenues on the east side of Columbus, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Woodson was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine and the two warrants.

He was being held at the jail in lieu of $65,000 bond, jail officials said.
